Obituary of Joseph Lamar Mansell

Joseph Lamar Mansell (Jody) 88, passed away on Sunday, April 15^th 2018.  He was predeceased by his beloved wife Evelyn Jameson Mansell and daughter Lessie Dianne Mansell.  Born July 8^th, 1929, he was the son of Joe C Mansell and Lessie Coleman Mansell.  He attended Milton HS & Military College of Dahlonega and was in the USAF during the Korean War.  He worked for General Motors for many years and later became business owner of the Roswell Dept Store.  Jody was a member of First Baptist Church of Roswell and First Baptist of Indian Rocks.  He loved gardening, fishing and traveling.  He is survived by his daughters Julie Mansell Curnick and Michael Curnick and Jennifer Mansell Sanders and Michael Sanders.  Also survived by grandsons Joseph Emanuel, John Emanuel, Jameson Curnick, Travis Broyles, and Christopher and wife Charline Curnick, step grandchildren Ty and Pierce Sanders and great granddaughter Emma Emanuel.  Vistation and Memorial service is Saturday April 28^th at the Roswell First Baptist Church Chapel at 710 Mimosa Blvd.  Visitation 9:30 am-11.  Memorial Service is immediately following.  Donations can be made to Alpharetta and Old Milton Count Historical Society (write on FOR line “Log Cabin”) 1835 Old Milton Pky, Alpharetta, GA  30009.
